It’s been almost 10 years since the last one, but a new Rugby League game has finally been revealed. It’s called Rugby League 26 and it will release on July 17th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC with pre-orders starting today.
It’s being developed by Melbourne’s Big Ant and it will introduce a Pro Team mode, modern graphics, realistic new gameplay mechanics and fully licensed teams, competitions and stadiums from the entire Rugby League world.
The announcement was made by the Super League, so we only have the covers for the UK and confirmation that the game will feature 2025 Super League teams and players as well as WSL players, but we can guarantee with almost no doubt that the game will feature the full suite of NRL/NRLW clubs and players and we’ll almost certainly get our own cover here as well which we’d expect to be announced in the very near future.
It’s up for pre-order at JB Hi-Fi at the below links:
The first batch of screenshots were also released today, and feature the Super League as well and you can see them below:
Speaking about the game, CEO of Melbourne’s Big Ant Studios had the below to say “Every part of Rugby League 26 is driven by authenticity and depth. From the expanded Career Mode to the Pro Team feature and advanced customisation tools, this game marks a new standard for Rugby League in interactive entertainment.”
We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about Rugby League 26 which is just over a month away, and as we get some local updates as well.
